The LIMBIC team: Keith

Keith

The great thing about what I do is quite simple: I love it!

I love learning, I love technology - it's the application of smart thinking to become smart thinkers. And it's good to love things in this business. The learning business really is an emotional one.

Before founding LIMBIC Learning in 2008 I was heading up production at Epic, something I'd been doing since the end of 2003. Before that I'd spent several years designing, developing and project managing numerous e-learning projects. Being fully hands on is the only way to learn the ins and outs of things, and in those earlier days every client needed innovation.

Today, clients want innovation. And that's only good as technology and science is all about progressing.

So for me it's still about being hands-on with projects - that's where the fun is.

I like to think that my background in science brings a little extra something to the table. More and more we're hearing about what neuro research is uncovering, and now have rigour in 'what works' when it comes to learning thanks to solid evidence-based research. This knowledge sheds light on the true modern thinking in learning. Not to forget people's habits: tap into people's habits, and you've tapped into a captive audience. Heard of Web 2.0 anyone!

Learning's more than just some lazy 'ROI' calculation or the handing over of an e-learning package. Maybe that's played a part in e-learning getting a bad press in the past. Learning's about creating memorable memories - and ensuring that clients get solid, measurable results.

I founded LIMBIC so that you could be assured of engaging an agency you could trust to motivate your people to engage in great learning experiences.

The best thing about working in this business? Being creative, working with smart people, and knowing that what you've just done will really make a difference.

I'll also never tire of a client telling me that LIMBIC brings a little extra to the relationship… for me, that's what it's all about.
