The LIMBIC team: Richard

Richard

I've always been more interested in answering questions beginning with how than ones beginning with what, where, when - and on occasion who.

Uncovering the how is what inspired me to study engineering at university- and it's that curiosity that first got me into designing digital learning solutions thirteen years ago.

How can we create learning solutions that find the best mix of all available channels? How can we deliver solutions to those time honoured constraints: time, quality, and budget? How can today's technology be used to enhance learning experiences? How does the latest research into how we learn affect what we're doing?

People looking to learn are the touch points of what we do, and we need to keep those people engaged and motivated. I've got to create learning experiences that do just that, and at the heart of those experiences is great writing.

Technology in learning can't simply be about templating, tracking, and 'here's one we did earlier' solutions. For me it's about ever expanding possibilities. New tools and new technologies are popping up every day and it's my job to find out if and how learning can be enhanced by them.

With so many things still to learn myself things will never be dull!

The best thing about working in this business? I love those Eureka moments you get when collaborating with clients. It's a sign of a good partnership. And that's what it's about here at LIMBIC: pushing boundaries; making discoveries; evolving with our clients.
